The coach who guides people in getting back in to driving after trauma needed a nuanced design that shows understanding.

How do you
feel?

To give (former)Drivers who experienced trauma a sense of comfort we set out to design a website that makes you.. well, comfortable. Pleasing visuals and a non-aggresive way of conveying information.

Type

A custom type was made for the brandmark of ‘de verkeerscoach’. With a sense that is was written with careless confidence which would inspire the visitor to take on this lack of stress.

Behind the wheel

The circle mark of the logo represents both a tire and a big thumbs up with the movement implied from the arm. The ‘you can do it’ pose. The colors are both natural as well as a hint to the coaches’ heritage (Zaanstad)

Fears

To visually represent the drivers’ most common fears we made a series of 9 cards each representing a different fear. The coach would give the driver his or her fear on a card and when they’d finally overcome this fear, through coaching, they could rip the card up and symbolically divorce themselves from this crippling fear to start driving again.
